Born in the Lone Star State, Elizabeth Swicegood has deep roots in Texas. Moving to North Carolina in 1984, she graduated from Davie County High in 1986. She later graduated from Catawba College in Salisbury, NC in 1989 with a degree in education and a minor in Spanish. She worked in the Davie County School system for 7 years as a Spanish teacher. After her children were born, she took a break from school teaching to raise Ashton & Lewis.
